Sunday Spotlight: Thundamentals

I can't believe the Thundamentals released their fifth studio album on Friday. The trio from the Blue Mountains, NSW have been active since 2008, and Tuka has also made a name for himself solo.

Thundamentals aren't as big as the Hilltop Hoods or Bliss N Eso however they have a fairly large following now. This will help as the group set out on the road for a fairly large album tour soon.

Sally has been their biggest hit to date whilst their new album has seen a lot of play for the catchy I Miss You.

The group still gains attention for their Like a Version of Matt Corby's monster hit Brother and trio are no stranger to a large amount of Triple J airplay including this week's feature album.

I Love Songs is the groups second album in as many years showing the fans and music lovers, Thundamentals are here to stay and moving up the Aussie Hip Hop food chain.

So check out some new tunes and classics below. Thundamentals bring the party this Sunday!

Sunday Spotlight: Emma Louise

2 EP's, 3 full length albums and 2 collaborations with Flight Facilities, Emma Louise is on top of her game and one of Queensland's brightest musical stars.

In 2011 it all changed for Emma Louise with her massive Global smash, Jungle. It even reached number three on the French charts! Along with a 2013 remix by German producer Wankelmut, followed by a remix by MK, the song continued to gain airplay and sales across the globe.

From the UK to Italy, Ireland to Poland the song was a hit for the artist from Cairns, QLD.

In 2013 a debut studio album landed for Emma Louise, vs Head vs Heart. It featured, Jungle (despite featuring on an earlier EP), Boy and Freedom. In 2016 a second studio album was released in the form of Supercry. From Supercry we heard more talented tracks from the singer-songwriter like Underflow, Talk Baby Talk and West End Kids.

On Friday Emma Louise released her third very different full length release Lilac Everything. You can hear some tracks from it below as well as tracks from her outstanding career to date below.

Emma Louise, a chilled, chilly (after 31 degrees yesterday, in Sydney) Sunday listening party, yes please. See you tomorrow with a new feature record from 6lack.

With loads of guests in tow, 2 Sia tracks, a huge track list David Guetta (love him or not) continues to be one of the biggest crossover DJ's in the world. Next to Calvin Harris of course.
