Sunday Spotlight: Catfish & The Bottlemen

Welsh outfit Catfish & The Bottlemen released their third album on Friday and already it's had a few hit radio singles.

2all and Longshot have been heavily featured on the radio right here in Australia, whilst their second album The Ride's single Twice was a massive hit.

The Balance follows The Ride and The Balcony keeping with a bit of a theme album title wise.

Van, Benji, Robert (Bob) and Johhny make up the crew from Llandudno, Conwy, Wales and good news for Aussie's they are making their way out to Splendour in the Grass 2019.

With their hit singles being total sing-a-long indie anthems I am sure the crew at Byron Bay will be singing all the hits from their third album loud and very proud!

So let's take some time to catch up with Catfish & The Bottlemen ahead of their big Aussie appearance. Until next week the Sunday Spotlight is back after the Easter/April holiday period.

Album of the Year Nomination #2 - Billie Eilish - When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?

Less than a month ago an Australian band ruled the airwaves and 100% deserved a nomination for the 2019 Album of the Year. The Hilltop Hoods are now joined by the wonderful Billie Eilish.

Billie's debut album is this week's feature album and also the second Album of the Year nomination.

Featuring five solid singles already, Billie has been at the top of the charts with You should See Me In a Crown, When the Party's Over and now Bad Guy is doing great business.

Billie had a brilliant EP back in 2017 with Don't Smile at Me, so it is great to hear a wonderful full body of work.

Teasing us with singles with Khlaid (Lovely)and a track from the music inspired by the film Roma. Billie is a total star and only 17 years old, yes 17 years old! Shit!

Heading to Australia this month and next and then onto the world. When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? really deserves a Album of the Year nomination and we will find out in December who takes out the big prize will it be Billie, The Hilltop Hoods or a forthcoming nomination?

Time will tell. Congratulations Billie what a cracker of an album!
