The Album of the Year journey continues with Scarlet. The fourth studio album by Doja Cat.
Doja Cat was disillusioned with pop music and dissatisfied with music critics questioning her status as a rapper, Doja Cat felt inspired to create a "masculine" follow-up to her third studio album, Planet Her. Which was our Album of the Year in 2021.
The album has no features, with a monster lead single, Paint the Town Red. Which is currently sitting pretty at number one on the Australian singles chart.
This also marked Doja Cat's first solo number-one on the US Billboard Hot 100, the UK Singles Chart, the Billboard Global 200.
The latest single is Agora Hills, following promotional singles Attention, Demons and Balut.
To support the album, Doja Cat will embark on the Scarlet Tour in October 2023, her first arena tour as a headliner.
Scarlet joins G Flip, Genesis Owusu and Olivia Rodrigo. With a large number of records dropping in October. 2023 maybe the year with the most nominations to date! It was a slow start to the year but things are really picking up now!
