Morgan John Evans or just Morgan Evans is hot. Wait! This was my first ever country music concert. At the Sydney Opera House no less.
Australian country music singer and songwriter, released a self-titled debut studio album in March 2014, which peaked at number 20 on the ARIA Albums Chart. He also won an ARIA Award for Best Country Album for his second studio album, Things That We Drink To.
This year, Evans performed “long live the Newcastle Knights” live at the home NRL Finals game. You can take the boy out of Newcastle, but you can never take Newcastle out of the boy! He may also be the most famous Newcastle Knights fan!
Evans also filmed the show last night, whilst getting guests Kita Alexander and John Williamson on stage! Yes that John Williamson, true blue!
OK so it was a big show as part of his Life Upside Down Tour. His track with Kita Alexander Date Night was a highlight for me. As Kita has really branched out. A duet with a country star, then the next single with DJ/producer, Fisher. What a change of gears.
Day Drunk was a massive moment before a 1.5/2 song encore. Why I say half is I Still Call Australia Home was rather short. Actually most of his songs are short.
So my first ever country gig. Thoughts? Loved it! Were you expecting that?
I saw older folks tapping their feet, clapping away, fixed on this handsome young Newcastle born artist.
He is extremely impressive interacting with the sold out crowd. The set list was a great mix of break up songs, songs about being young and dumb and songs of loss. It was a wild range of emotions. I never listened to a single song ahead of the concert. Going in blind was bliss. Row M in the middle of the Concert Hall at Sydney's Opera House was heaven.
Now some related audio. Get into this young man right now. He is sexy AF, with a damn fine, commanding voice. Listen up!
