Sunday Spotlight: Bob Evans
Kevin Edward Mitchell is Bob Evans. Also Kevin Mitchell along with Jebediah back in the day were one of my first all ages gigs. After Prince.
Jebediah formed in 1994, the group released five studio albums between 1997 and 2011, with three entering the top ten on the ARIA Albums Chart.
Mitchell then launched his folk pop career under Bob Evans in 1999.
The most successful solo album Suburban Songbook, released in June 2006, peaked at No. 15, whilst Goodnight, Bull Creek! (2009) and Familiar Stranger (2013) both reached the top 40.
On Friday Tomorrowland dropped, giving Kevin Mitchell a total of 11 (including Jebediah) studio albums released in Australia. He also launched the Good Evans, It's A Bobcast! podcast back in May 2016.
Kevin Mitchell is an Australian music icon, so this Sunday celebrate an Aussie legend in the lead up to ANZAC Day 2021.

Sunday Spotlight: The Offspring
The Offspring formed all the way back in 1984, hailing from Garden Grove, California.
Originally formed under the name Manic Subsidal, Bryan "Dexter" Holland, Todd Morse, Kevin "Noodles" Wasserman and Pete Parada are now known as The Offspring. The band's tenth studio album, Let the Bad Times Roll, is landing on your preferred streaming service this Friday. The group have sold over 40 million records worldwide.
In the early years (including their 1989 self-titled debut album and the vinyl-only EP Baghdad) , The Offspring signed with Epitaph Records and released two albums for the independent label, Ignition (1992) and Smash.
Smash in 1994 included The Offspring's first major hit Come Out and Play. Following the success of Smash, this attracted major label attraction, namely Columbia Records. The Offspring signed in 1996 with Columbia releasing Ixnay on the Hombre in1997. The album received critical acclaim and gold and platinum awards.
Then came Americana in 1998 (we all remember Pretty Fly for a White Guy) which regained the groups previous level of popularity. The album got support from MTV, whilst that single made it to number one in the Hottest 100 of 1998. The album went on to sell over five million units in the USA.
Following Americana the group released four more albums: Conspiracy of One (2000), Splinter (2003), Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace (2008) and Days Go By (2012).
Check out some of their greatest hits below on this perfect Autumn Sunday.
