Sunday Spotlight: Tame Impala

It's finally here the fourth studio record from Tame Impala (AKA Kevin Parker), The Slow Rush. Following a few choice singles, Borderline, It Might Be Time, Posthumous Forgiveness & Lost in Yesterday.

Lost in Yesterday is honestly one of my favourite releases of 2020 thus far. It's (in my opinion) one of Tame Impala's most easily accessible songs of all time.

Following the massive 2015 album Currents, Kevin really had to bring it. And bring it he did.

Tame Impala easily are one of Australia's biggest bands right now. About to embark on a monster arena tour. Taking in some of Australia's biggest venues, no doubt the group will take the tour across the globe.

From the time I heard Half Full Glass of Wine I sort of expected something big for Tame Impala.

Let's lock at some of their hits up to this moment. Welcome back to the Sunday Spotlight for 2020, after a week off next week, it's back again March 8th all the way up until December 2020.

Album of the Year Nomination #2 - Tame Impala - The Slow Rush

Here we go again! 2020 is in full swing, Tame Impala's fourth album The Slow Rush is here now. Currently tracking at number 3 on the iTunes album chart behind Justin Bieber and Queen, but it could make a late push at the number one spot by Saturday.

Following on from Halsey's brilliant album Manic (our first Album of the Year Nomination for 2020) Tame Impala now join the race for the best album of 2020.

With four solid tunes arriving ahead of the albums release last Friday, we felt like we already knew the direction Tame Impala were heading in. Kevin Parker's chat with Lucy Smith below is ace, it looks at the meaning behind a number of the albums big tunes.

Already getting fairly solid reviews around the place, a huge arena tour soon and songs all over Triple J this week Tame Impala are on a roll.

It was an easy decision to make Tame Impala's The Slow Rush our second Album of the Year Nomination.

The standards are high in 2020, who will be the Album of the Year for 2020?

Happy belated Valentine's Day dear readers, not to mention happy new Tame Impala day! Tame Impala released their fourth record The Slow Rush yesterday, man was it a mega hyped release!

It's my feature record all next week, so here is a choice cut from it.

Far from the choice sounds of Tame Impala, Canadian pop superstar, Justin Bieber released his new record Changes. Just in time for Valentine's Day, the album features a stacked list of guests including Summer Walker, Travis Scott and more.
