Only a few weeks ago it was time to reveal Billie Eilish's superb debut When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? was the 2019 Album of the Year, now it's time to kick off the 2020 race.
This year's Album of the Year will also be announced on New Year's Eve, this year New Year's falls on a Thursday.
So here is your first big nomination for 2020, Halsey and her third record, Manic.
Following 2017's Hopeless Fountain Kingdom, Halsey has continued on with a bi pop record. The first single actually dropped all the way back in 2018, Without Me. On January 9, 2019 the single received a refresh with the late, great Juice WRLD featuring on the remix.
Following the brilliant Without Me (the song came in at number 41 for my best tunes of 2018) we got another five teaser singles.
Graveyard got a live Australian performance at the ARIA's late last year whilst the album features a pile of stellar guests including Alanis Morissette, Suga of BTS and Dominic Pike, alongside production from Benny Blanco, Cashmere Cat, Greg Kurstin, Lido and so many more!
It's already an exciting year for new music, we already have a stellar album from Halsey, she even gave back to the bushfire victims with a show over summer.
