Sunday Spotlight: Tori Amos

Myra Ellen Amos aka Tori Amos gave us her 16th studio record on Friday. Being Halloween its sorta fitting we feature an artist with a classic voice. Ms Tori Amos is your final Sunday Spotlight for October 2021. Hello November 2021, the final four weekends of Sunday Spotlights.

Amos is classically trained musician with a mezzo-soprano vocal range. Amos was the lead singer of the short-lived 1980s pop group Y Kant Tori Read before achieving her breakthrough as a solo artist in the early 1990s.

Tori's songs focus on a broad range of topics, including sexuality, feminism, politics, and religion. Her most popular songs to date are Cornflake Girl, Professional Widow (that REMIX), Spark and A Sorta Fairytale.

Amos has received five MTV VMA nominations and eight Grammy Award nominations, and is listed on VH1's 1999 100 Greatest Women of Rock and Roll at number 71.

So if you are not too busy Trick or Treating, it's time to discover Tori Amos's latest album below. I also included some classic tunes, like Big Wheel and Spark, which I personally love. Come back over the next four Sundays for the final four instalments of the Sunday Spotlight.
