Robbie Williams
This past Thursday I finally checked out the new Sydney Football Stadium. The occasion, Robert Peter Williams XXV tour.
Robbie shot to fame as a member of the pop group Take That from 1990 to 1995, then launching a solo career in 1996.
His debut studio album, Life thru a Lens, was released in 1997, and included his signature song Angels. Which was his offical last (full) song of his encore. Later there was a medley of accapella hits as he exited the stage.
His discography includes seven UK No. 1 singles, and all but one of his 14 studio albums have reached No. 1 in the UK. Six of his albums are among the top 100 biggest-selling albums in the UK, with two of them in the top 60, and he gained a Guinness World Record in 2006 for selling 1.6 million tickets in a single day during his Close Encounters Tour.
Robbie also played hits like Rock DJ, Kids, Let Me Entertain You and Feel.
The concert was a wild range of emotions, from Robbie's highs to his honest lows. It was a full on performance which started with rain and then on my way home, ended up with the heavens opening!
This was UK pop/showman ship at its finest. Sam Smith when trying to command the entire arena recently may need a few lessons from Robbie. Getting older boomers moving, younger fans alike all in admiration of his tales of his lows, to singing along with the highs of his career.
This will be a concert I won't forget in a while. A man even proposed to the mother of his child. Wild! And that is just the start of it.
Its EP feature week next week. So gear up from EP's from wide ranging genres. See you then x

Album of the Year Nomination #6 - PinkPantheress - Heaven Knows
The Album of the Year is back with just over a month before the big announcement. This follows Aussie Troye Sivan's excellent Something to Give Each Other last month, as the fifth nomination.
Heaven Knows is the debut studio album by PinkPantheress, along with the sixth Album of the Year Nomination for 2023.
Released last Friday, it follows her 2021 mixtape To Hell with It. The album includes the monster hit, Boy's a Liar Pt. 2 (with Ice Spice) alongside, Mosquito, Capable of Love, & Nice to Meet You featuring Central Cee.
Yes there are some big guests on this record. Including Rema and the brilliant Kelela. While the producers on the record are equally as impressive as the guests. Greg Kurstin, Mura Masa, Danny L Harle and more lend a hand to this stellar debut album.
PinkPantheress is set to tour the record as part of The Capable of Love Tour. It's set to begin in February 2024, taking in the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, France and Germany.
Heaven Knows joins J Award winning album of the year, G Flip, Genesis Owusu, Olivia Rodrigo, Doja Cat and Troye Sivan. The Album of the Year for 2023 will be announced next month.

Sam Smith
Samuel Frederick Smith played two close to full Qudos Bank Arena shows this weekend just gone.
I was super lucky enough to see the English singer and songwriter. In October 2012, they were featured on Disclosure's breakthrough single Latch.
Which I loved on the radio, my music playlists and to run to (when I used to run).
Latch peaked at number eleven on the UK Singles Chart. It was also my highlight from Saturday's Gloria tour. Smith played tunes from the debut studio album, In the Lonely Hour, which was released in May 2014.
The third single from their debut album Stay with Me, was internationally successful, reaching number one in the UK and number two on the US Billboard Hot 100. It on Saturday night was a monster sing-a-long!
Like I Can and other earlier singles were also crowd favourites before the show got a little sexy.
Smith's second studio album, The Thrill of It All, was released in November 2017.
They sang the lead single, Too Good at Goodbyes, early in his 19 strong set.
They gave us Promises with Calvin Harris, which peaked at number one in the UK.
Smith also performed a solo version of the excellent Dancing with a Stranger. Originally released with Normani.
Last year, Smith's single Unholy with Kim Petras, from the fourth album Gloria, became their first number one single in the US and won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
Unholy was also the scary, post Halloween closing tune. It was a wild night out at Homebush. With a wide ranging crowd of folks who loved the Michael Buble love songs, but maybe not so much in love with the Unholy side.
Smith has interested me for years. The dance tunes are unreal, the live vocals incredible. Now that The Weeknd has postponed. That was my November live music moment.
Next up, more Tkay on the way for this week's excellent feature album!
